Can my personal health information be used and disclosed without any notice to me, or without my informed consent at the time of treatment?

Your personal health information can only be released with your consent. During the course of your treatment, or follow up, it is common practice for your health care providers to communicate with your referring physician, and other health care providers or facilities in order to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered.

What information can be found in my health record?

A health record is created when you are referred to The Cancer Centre Eastern Caribbean. This record contains any information related to your health that may be useful to your healthcare providers. Additionally, your health care record will contain all information related to the treatment prescribed and delivered at The Cancer Centre Eastern Caribbean.
